Web Design Created for Non-Profits

Your website is an important part of your organization. It tells the world who you are and what your mission is.

As the owner of Studio 323, I want to assist you in getting your message out to your community, whether you have a team of 50 or an office staff of only 3...your voice matters!

Together We Can Build Better Websites

A properly designed website is a valuable tool for your non-profit organization. It is important that it accurately relays your mission to your community while providing resources to those in need with clear & concise messaging. Studio 323 can work with you to make that happen.

WordPress CMS Websites

Perfect for organizations that need an interactive website with growing content or a site that can control user access with frequent content changes. We can build a high-performing website with only the tools you need.

Standard HTML/CSS Websites

Sometimes, less is more. This is an optimal choice for standard websites that do not need to be edited on a daily basis. Adding only what is needed & using frameworks like Bootstrap or Tailwind allow this website to perform quickly & professionally.

WCAG Web-Accessible Websites

According to the 2022 stats from the CDC, 28.7% of the U.S. suffers some type of disability. Developing an accessible website means including viewers that otherwise may be excluded from your messaging.

Website Design Common Questions

Building Websites With Only The Tools You Need

More than a web developer, Fivepenny Studio is a consultant. With years of experience in web design & WordPress websites, I believe it is vital to sit with every client to determine your goals, then use this data to create a scope of work that works with you, not against you.

  • Do you only build in WordPress?

WordPress is the primary CMS used due to its development & the ease of use for clients who enjoy having the ability to access their website. I have also built sites using HTML/TailwindCSS and assisted clients with existing websites in other CMS platforms including Squarespace & Wix. Again, it's finding the right tool for the right job.

  • Is it better to update my existing website or start over?

We can evaluate your existing website, the framework behind it and what your end-goal is. From that analysis, we can determine the best path forward to provide you the website you need that best fits into your budget.

  • Do I own my website?

Of course, it's your website and you paid for it. This is why I create new builds either in HTML or in WordPress, so that they are portable if you choose to move it elsewhere in the future. Depending on your project, there may be Pro licensing tools used in the WordPress website build, but that will be clarified in the scope of work.

  • My organization does not have a large budget, can I still get a nice website?

Absolutely. We can always build something to get your web presence online and featuring your necessary elements, then add more features & pages at a later time. Part of our consultation process is to learn about your goals and what you need.

  • How does "phasing out" my project work?

Phases of the project are built in coordination with your budgeting. But don't worry if Phase 2 or 3 is cancelled, it will not make your website look incomplete. At the end of every phase your website will be completely functioning with the features included in that phase. No one likes seeing something on a website that isn't working.

  • I can't afford to pay for every little content change, how can my assistant make website edits?

I understand this completely, and that is why the initial consultation is so important. Discussing your goals isn't just about how the website looks, but how you intend to use it. Fivepenny offers basic WordPress training after a website build is complete. This allows you to control the basic content changes to your website, leaving the more complex items to Fivepenny as needed.
